THE LOVE OF JESUS CHANGES EVERYTHING

Our hope is that when you’re with us, you will experience the transformational love of Jesus

WHAT TO EXPECT

Bible Teaching

We worship God through the teaching and preaching of His word. We strive to remain both biblically and doctrinally accurate while seeking to apply the truth of the bible to everyday life.

Music

During our worship services, we dedicate time to congregational singing. Musical worship is one way in which we unite in heart and purpose to joyfully express praise and adoration to God.

Prayer

Prayer is an essential part of our services at Calvary Spokane. In addition to corporate prayer, times are given at each service to receive personal prayer from leaders in our church.

Fellowship

Because community and relationships are so important to us, we offer a full espresso bar at all of our services along with breakfast on Sunday mornings.

Russian Translation

Our local church body contains a wide range of people. We are happy to provide Russian translation at our Sunday 9AM service.

Kid’s Ministry

Your kids will love Calvary Kids! Our goal is to pair age appropriate Bible teaching along with plain and simple fun for your kids. They won’t want to leave!

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Bible
We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God. We believe that it is the final authority, is without error, and is applicable for our daily lives.
(2 Tim 3:16)

God
We believe in one God who exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We believe in God as creator and sustainer of all things. We believe that God is eternal, holy, and loving.
(Genesis 1:1Matthew 28:19)

Man
We believe that man was created in the image of God and was designed to be in loving relationship with God. We believe that because of man’s sinful disobedience, mankind was separated from the loving intimacy that God intended. We believe that mankind’s greatest and deepest need is to be forgiven of sin and restored back into right relationship with God and thus fulfill his ultimate purpose which is to worship God and fully enjoy Him forever.
(Genesis 1:26-30; Genesis 2:7; Romans 3:23; 1 John 1:9)

Jesus
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and second member of the trinity. We believe that Jesus willingly came into our world as fully man, while continuing to be fully God. We believe that Jesus lived a completely sinless life on our behalf, died a sinners death in our place, physically rose from the dead declaring victory over sin and death, and ascended to heaven where He is currently seated at the right hand of God as our advocate and intercessor.
(Luke 1:35Matthew 3:171 Peter 2:24Luke 24:46-47Romans 8:34Hebrews 12:2)

Salvation
We believe that salvation comes through the repentance of our sins and by believing upon the person and work of Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus’ sinless life makes us righteous before God and His substitutionary death removes all our sin. We believe that salvation cannot be earned or purchased and can only be received as a free gift from God.
(Romans 5:11 John 2:1-2Romans 10:9Ephesians 2:8)

Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third member of the trinity. We believe that the Holy Spirit enters the life of a person when they accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We believe that the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is essential for and evidence of a person’s salvation. We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. We believe that the Holy Spirit gives gifts for serving one another and empowers believers to live holy and effective lives for the glory of God.
(John 16:8-11Acts 2:38Romans 8:91 Peter 4:10)

Church
We believe that the church consists of those who believe upon Jesus as Lord and Savior. We believe that the church is one body with many members, unified through faith in Jesus. We believe that the church is called to gather together regularly for fellowship, teaching, prayer, and communion. We believe that the church exists to continue the work of Jesus by declaring the gospel, making disciples, and demonstrating God's love to the world. (Matthew 28:18-20Acts 2:41-47Acts 20:28Romans 12:51 Corinthians 12:27)

Eternity
We believe that people were created with both body and soul. We believe that after the body dies, the soul of a person continues on into eternity. We believe that heaven is the eternal destination for all people who have placed their faith and hope in the person and work of Jesus Christ. We believe that a literal hell is the eternal destination for those who have rejected Jesus as their Lord and Savior. We believe that the day is coming when Jesus will judge both the living and the dead.
(1 Peter 1:3-5Philippians 3:201 Peter 4:52 Timothy 4:1)
