What to Expect
There is “something” going on at Calvary Spokane nearly every day of the week. For events and times, check the  “Events” button.

Our main services are on Sunday mornings and Thursday Evenings. There are two Sunday morning services at 9:00 & 11:15AM. Thursday evenings service begins at 7PM. Full child-care is available at all three services.

Worship Services

We welcome visitors at all of our services and events. Worship summarizes all that we do as we live for God, but on Sundays we express our worship to God together through singing and listening to the teaching of the Bible. We incorporate both contemporary choruses and traditional hymns, blending together various musical styles.

The messages focus on the meaning of a portion of the Bible in its original context and show its relevance for our lives today. We tend to teach verse by verse through a book of the Bible. We encourage people to bring a Bible to follow along. If you don't have a Bible we would love to give one to you. Bibles are available in the pews.

Getting Involved

The Bible likens the church to a spiritual family, so we encourage people to get to know one another and establish friendships. This doesn’t happen easily in large groups, as we have in our worship services. So we offer a wide variety of smaller group fellowships throughout the week. We have found that the best way to build significant relationships is to get involved in serving.

How should I dress when I come?

Calvary invites anyone interested in hearing the message of God's grace, and does not require a certain type of dress to attend. On any given time, you will find people wearing everything from suits to shorts. Since God looks at men’s hearts and not their outward appearance (1Samuel 16:7), we endeavor to do so as well. The most common form of dress could be best described as “casual.”

How many people attend Calvary?

Approximately 4,000 people consider Calvary Spokane to be their church home. A typical Sunday morning attendance is about 2,500 to 3,000. Our main sanctuary seats 1,500.

In an effort to create more informal opportunities to fellowship, we have two community centers on either side of the sanctuary. These are full-service areas with coffee, food services, and bookstore.

What do you have for kids?

Calvary Spokane makes reaching young people a priority, and that is evident by the excellent programs offered for every age group. (see Ministries: Children'sYouth)

Membership?

Calvary Spokane does not have a formal membership or membership process. For legal purposes, our membership list is composed of those who contribute financially to the ministries of the church.

If you desire to get involved in serving, we require that persons first attend Calvary Spokane for six months. All areas of service require a completed Ministry Application (Ministry - Children's)

What are Calvary's doctrinal beliefs?

For a full statement of our beliefs, download our Statement of Faith, or pick-up a printed copy of our Constitution at the Info Center. We also have a number of other short statements on a wide variety of topics. (Quick Reference Guides)

What is Calvary's denomination?

Calvary Spokane is an independent, non-denominational church. We are affiliated and in fellowship with the Calvary Chapel movement based in Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. (Calvary Chapel Website)

How does Calvary receive financial support?

Calvary is supported exclusively through the free-will gifts of our members and attendees.
