Part 2: Pete has gone to Haiti to help with building of pole buildings and whatever else God has in mind for him. PRAY for him while he is there. Pray God's will be done! We've been given a unique opportunity to provide relief for some of the people affected by the recent earthquake in Haiti. Through a partnership with other churches and mission organizations, we are helping to send shipments of food and medical supplies to the island of La Gonave. The small mission base there is also an orphanage and medical clinic. With the recent influx of refugees, there are currently over 57,000 people on the island and food and medical supplies are running out. Aid has been slow in reaching the people on the island, and will likely take longer than for those in Port-au-Prince. | | If you would like to help with this relief effort, you can make a donation through Calvary Chapel Spokane (please designate funds to "Haiti relief") or directly to the Wesleyan Church organizing the effort.
